Health IT Seminar Series

| | Development of the nation’s health IT infrastructure is at the forefront of the ongoing discussion on healthcare reform. Electronic medical records (EMRs), personal health records (PHRs), health information exchange (HIE) and health IT systems development all play an important role in the future of healthcare delivery in America. Companies, clinics, and communities are already working hard to create and deploy these new tools and systems and Indiana is considered a national leader in Health IT design and implementation capabilities. The event partners have assembled a variety of experts to help all who are interested make sense of the Health IT landscape. This four-part, informational seminar series focuses on the Health Information Exchange (HIE) networks in Indiana and provides up to the minute information on the state’s efforts to win stimulus funding made available through the ARRA federal program. This series also explores related topics in Health IT and provides opportunities for networking with others in the field. Programs are video broadcast from host HIE community sites to a number of convenient viewing locations across Indiana. Programs will be recorded and available to watch after the event for those who are unable to attend in person. If you are interested in learning more about current topics in healthcare IT and the federal stimulus funding available for growing the sector, this series is for you!
